You read this right. A Pillow Duvet!
The Pillow Duvet is a quilted cotton cover with a layer of New Zealand wool inside. Your pillow zips into it and the wool wraps all the way around. It is not a pillow on its own. The wool layer adds padding and a softer, fuller feel. It also gives moisture somewhere to go.
The quilted cover features a layer of needle-punched Wisewool™ sandwiched between layers of soft organic cotton. This natural barrier is the true secret to better sleep - and it should no longer be kept a secret. The pure New Zealand wool regulates temperature, wicks moisture, and adds a natural resistance to allergens, odours, and dust mites. Wool absorbs up to a third of its own weight in moisture without feeling damp, then gives it back to the air. That is how it helps regulate temperature. Polyester absorbs under one percent.
It is also what makes our New Zealand Wool Pillow a Deluxe. If you already have a Classic, zip it inside and you have the same thing.
The wool is Wisewool™, needle-punched into a single sheet that holds its own shape. Nothing is applied to it. Each one is cut and sewn by hand in our Auckland workroom, and it comes off to be machine washed cold.
